For my personal brand, I want to build a brand image with a simple, clean, elegant, and modern mood to match my personality and what I expect to show audiences. I define myself as a filmmaker, graphic designer, and photographer in my vision statement. Even though sometimes, it is risky to define self as more than one role because it is probably counterproductive. However, I want to show people that I am professional in different fields and able to use a different medium (or approach way) to show my creativity. I desire to prove that no matter whether I am a filmmaker, graphic designer, or photographer, I can make simple stories powerful.

Process

At the beginning of the development process, I was chosen between wanting more geometric or handwriting-style logos because either fit my personality. I started to try different typefaces and ways to see what worked best. Since I want to combine my initials inside the logo, I know that using upper cases "EC" is too much and feels heavy, so I decided to let either logo or wordmarks only show in lowercase. It feels more balanced to look at it because e and c look similar.

The logo I ended up using now, even at first, might be hard to tell "c" is inside the logo because I reverse and put it upside down, but this allows me to make the shape looks like "infinity" and give a more profound concept behind to shows my creative is infinity and always capable to making works powerful. And because its beautiful curve also feels more humanized and won't just be too formal and without flexibility. Moreover, the original idea I want to pursue is to make my logo have a clean, modern, and elegant mood. I believe my logo successfully achieves this to give people this impression.

Social Media Strategy

For social media strategy, I decided to promote my brand on different platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin because different platforms have different audiences, allowing me to get more attention instead of focusing only on specific people.

For Instagram since it is the most popular social media and also allows to buy ads to boost posts, I want to promote myself here to let everyone know my website has launched. And since I have more connections on Instagram, it is good to ask people to help me by sharing this info in their stories to improve my reach. I will buy the ads for Facebook and use the same strategy as Instagram. However, the only difference is that since I don't have that many connections on Facebook, most people who might see my posts won't be able to know who I am. Here, I decided to use a more fun and interactive way to get people's attention, and if successful, they will be willing to spend time reading my captions and checking out my website. For Linkedin, since more companies and employers will look at it, I want to promote myself as a person who is open to work and accepting any different job opportunities. At the same time, I introduced myself more through the post, and my concept, getting them interested in looking up my website and reaching out to me.
